This dip is reminiscent of the onion dip found in the refrigerated dairy section of the grocery. With red onion, it has that savory flavor that hits all the right nostalgic notes for me. The jalapeno and feta add a bit of kick and creamy saltiness to this spread. Pair it with pita or dip vegetables in it for a tasty snack, or eat it with Wavy Lays potato chips for a riff on my favorite nostalgic treat.

ingredients
- Feta makes up most of this dip. Its salty, briny flavor is perfect for this recipe.
- A jalapeno adds a little kick. If you don’t want it to be spicy, be sure to scrape out the seeds and rinse out the inside. If you want it to be spicier, add a serrano instead.
- Olive oil helps make this creamy. It’s in the dip and drizzled on top!
- Diced red onion adds a savory punch of flavor that makes this taste a little like Dean’s French Onion Dip.

step two
Serve it! Spread the dip in a serving dish or bowl, then drizzle a little olive oil over the top. Eat it with pita, vegetables, or potato chips. Enjoy!
